Miranda, admittedly, wasn't familiar with the media library at all. For one thing, it wasn't her idea of a library. Where were all the books? Why were there screens everywhere? (How was she even supposed to find anything

She'd thought of a few other texts to look up on her own, which led to Sakura's entering the media library in search of even more information. The sounds of screams startled her into trying to find a source, knowing that it couldn't be an immediate danger (the ship itself would have reacted, right?) but with kids running around and goodness knows what else, she's on high alert as it is.
When she finds the source, she's surprised to see Miranda huddling behind a -- what? And no obvious other around. Just an activated screen, which was currently...
Sakura darted over, looking for something that worked as an off switch. Who records themselves yelling about cookies? "Miranda! What's going on?"
"In a manner of speaking." Sakura examined the screen, tapping on one portion to bring up the listing Vivio had initially shown her on an independent device. "This right here is a kind of index listing. You can look for things by key words, author, title, things like that, but you have to type them in instead of flicking through cards by hand."
She looked over to Miranda. "Did you want to go ahead and try right now?" No time like the present to start learning!
"You just type that name? And that's all?" Miranda said, blinking with surprise. It seemed so...simple? "I...yes, I suppose I could..."
Nervously, Miranda approached the computer. Slowly, and with great care, she typed in a word. Except then she stared at the screen for a moment, wondering what she was meant to do next. "Um...how do I make it go? Did I do something wrong?!"
"You're fine, Miranda," Sakura said, smiling at her again. "There's just one more step after you've typed in the word you want to look for. Do you see this button?"
Sakura pointed to it on screen. "You press this, and it begins your search. If you want to do a new search of the index, you type in a new word here, and then press this button again. Think of it as the go button, that tells this," she patted the outside of the terminal, "To go find what you're looking for."
Miranda peered down at the button. "Oh," she said, before sheepishly pressing the button. Then she looked up at the screen, and gasped at the the text appearing as the computer as it found the matching entries. "Oh! It's moving!"
"Mmm!" Sakura smiled again. "It's working. When it's done looking through all it's records for the files that match the keywords you told it to look through, you'll see -- ah, that!"
She motioned at the screen. "It stops moving, and you can use these up and down buttons, right here, to look through the titles it found. If you want to read something, you can tap over the name like so." She demonstrated, selecting one of the file names at random.
With a sigh, Sakura slowly shook her head. "That's the one thing I don't like about this library. There is no real book to walk away with. You can use the devices in here, but that's as close to holding the book we'll be getting."
She didn't sound entirely happy about this proclamation, looking at the display screen with something like reproach.
"Eh? No...real book? But how can you read a book if there isn't a book?" Miranda said, staring at Sakura and blinking dumbly. She couldn't really understand how you could read a book without it being real.
"The words are on the screen," she said again, tapping the surface next to the screen. "You can read it because it's showing you what the book would, only on here. Like recalling a memory. How do you see the faces you see in your memories? Those places, when they're not really there in front of you?"
