Someone else had found the stadium. Lash was now fifteen, and she'd taken to exploring all around the city. If not by asking for rides, just taking long walks. Commanding Officers were used to those anyway and Lash was no exception, they made her think (of very awful and dangerous things, no doubt). But of course a Neotank or two always made it much more fun and easier, and so there was one parked outside the stadium.
Not having noticed Hoshi yet, she was in the higher stadium benches, screaming out crude words and listening to the echo. It was a fun little game.
She's a friend, she's a friend... If there was one thing Hoshi was appreciative of, it was her ability to stay calm.
"Um, we should almost be there!" she answered, reading the signs that were around the arena itself. Then, she came upon the basement door and sighed a breath of relief.
"Do you have a flashlight or something, Lash? I'm not sure if the lighting works in this part."

"Nope," the other girl answered, but not daunted by this problem at all. "But you mentioned the emergency lights, right?" She looked at the area before the basement at the higher parts of the building. Noticing a pair of white lights on the top. "There! Those! I could-"
Oh wait. She couldn't use her sentai powers right now, so that wouldn't work. Drats.
"Uh, think you can get your guardian thingie to pry those down to us? They'll give us some light to see."
"Yeah, I did," replied Hoshi while she looked up at what Lash was glancing at. I really should know more about engineering than I do right now, she thought a bit glumly.
"Oh, yeah. Seraphiel, go grab those lights!" she commanded as the eagle jumped off of her shoulder and flew with rather incredible speed, grabbing the white lights for his mistress. He then returned and placed them in her hands.
"There we go," she said, handing Lash one of the lights.

"Excellent." The light source secured, she began to walk down the stares, moving the light in all directions to make sure nothing was waiting for them down there. With how the city was built, there was no telling what, honestly.
It's totally okay! I live off of backtagging. radiantcourageJune 25 2011, 04:06:13 UTC
Hoshi watched Lash investigate to make sure that nothing unexpected would pop out of the walls or anything. Once the coast looked clear, she nodded and followed her down the stairs.
"Thanks for looking out there, Lash," she said, smiling at her.
"Yeah yeah yeah," she was ignoring anything that looked like thank yous, her mind still stuck in the old black Hole mentality but her memories on the ship crashing. In this case, ignorance was bliss. Pretending she was angry at her helped. The light moved around before she found a huge machine with a lot of buttons.
"This is it! Now if I can find the main power switches, this should be a piece of cake."
Well, Lash. Hoshi was one of those kinds of people who thanked others for their help profusely, no matter what task they did for her. That, and she was sort of used to the behavior from a fellow teammate that normally wouldn't give her the time of day.
"What should I be on the lookout for?" she asked, looking up at the machine in front of them.
Well good in that case, ignoring could continue at a tolerable level.
"Big red buttons," she said flatly. "Unless they are dumb designers that don't level their stuff well. Big red buttons are always the way to go if you ask me, tee hee hee!"
"Are you kidding?! I've the wunderkind! I can do rewiring with my eyes closed." And indeed, she began to work without much, her hands moving as she felt the cables around.
"Everything seems good on this end..."
Touching cables that might have been faulty and killed her; now that was thinking smart!
"Wunderkind?" questioned the beyblader, interested in such a thing. She crouched down and shined the light just so that she could observe what Lash was up to. That, and learn something new that she didn't before.
Though, wasn't there a rule stated that when you touched faulty wiring, you had to wear the right equipment? But, maybe Lash didn't fear anything, so...
Anyway, she was going to watch over your shoulder, enthralled with what the other one was doing.
Lash fear electrocution pffft. It didn't take too long for the girl to do her thing and in a few minutes, the wires had been rearranged. There was a faint hum, and the big red button began to glow...red. Well yes, that had to be expected, certainly. She stepped back, as the red hue traced the silhouette of their bodies, giving both (but Lash especially) a sinister look.
"Well, I'm willing to bet you know what comes next, huh?"

Oh, who was she kidding. Okay, some logic here was temporarily thrown to the curb.
"Fine, I'll look for a big red button somewhere around here!"

"There it is! Let's just hope all the electrical power lines are still up and functioning..."

"Want me to shine my light on for you just to make sure everything's okay with the wiring and that junk?"

"Everything is turned on now?" she asked, a little bit too excited about the stadium working just like it was supposed to.
