It had come to her just a few days after returning to normal. Negi was there, but he was in full adult mode. The water glistening off his muscular chest, he was grinning as he waded out.

Rearing back, he cracked his knuckles -- and punched.

A torpedo of water blasted forward, cutting through the wave. "All right!" he cheered. "I still got it!"

Water cutting is a GO.

"Is that like what you were doing?" Sakura asked Einhart, watching Negi (yes, some part of her appreciating the whole show) with open curiosity. Not the kind of techniques she'd seen often at home, if she figures there probably is something like it she just hadn't run into yet.

Kaya grinned. Yes, there was a bit of a lingering sadness there, but if there was anyone that could give her a run for her money, it was Negi. She heaved a wave of her own, taking care to splash a few of the onlookers, grinning.

"You're on!"

Einhart blinked, looking over at Negi, Sakura, and now another girl. "Umm... alright."

"Great! Don't hold back now, that's the fun part of it."

Wading out a little more, he grinned at the others as he punched, and created a powerful shockwave of water hurling forward before dissipating twenty feet in front of him.

"You can count on that!" Kaya replied, grinning. She closed her eyes, concentrating her chi. This was something she had learned from her waterbending as well as Sheeana: redistribution of force, but with bending. She appeared to rise a moment, then let loose with a water punch of her own that looked easy enough but wound up creating quite a big wave.

Einhart took a deep breath, focusing a bit as she sunk down into the fighting stance. Biggest wave won?

She should be able to do that, easily. Her fist clenched, tightening a bit before she thrust her arm forward and caused a rather big wave as well. And by big, the word massive would be better to describe it. She couldn't tell from where she was standing, but there was a very good chance that it ended close to where Negi's had been located.

... And she put two hands in the water, and pushed some forward. Yes! This is winning! Or participating, since even if she could create a definite ripple effect, she knew it wouldn't be matching at least two of her current companions.

Laughing, Negi grinned at his companions. "Pretty good! Einhart you have a lot of power in there. Though Sakura, have you ever projected energy outwards before? Just chi I mean or whatever you're familiar with?"

Sakura looked over at Negi. "Yes," she said mildly. "If not generally through water." She didn't mention not feeling the need to try, if she was back to eyeing the water in speculation. At what angle could she maximize impact?

Kaya was actually pretty impressed with the girls, but was listening to what Negi was saying too. Obviously, her energy came from her being able to bend, but she wanted to know more about what Negi and the girls were doing

"Negi, how exactly are you projecting chi?"
