Frustration [Open]

The scene was a campus, specifically a plaza in front of a towering tree nearly 100 feet tall. There, a young boy was fighting at incredibly high speeds, like a man possessed against multiple opponents. Having learned the power of the sensoriums, he had called up several people: Ku Fei, Setsuna Sakurazaki, Kaede Nagisa, and engaged them one on one in a series of violent escapdaes before they all laid into him as one.

Ducking a powerful open palm strike, Negi reversed the attack, driving Ku backwards into Setsuna who oofed, but the motion left him up for a clip upside the head from Kaede. He growled, spun around and met the ninja head on, the sound of powerful impacts reverberating like a staggering noise of thunder as they moved faster and faster, speeding up until there was a delayed stuttering noise. Quite abruptly Negi's opponent shifted into the face of Fate Avvernnicus and it spat one word: "Useless."

With a terrible cry, Negi atomized the construct with a punch. He stayed in position for a few seconds. And then the sound of the impact actually hit, rattling the scenery.

The other constructs vanished as Negi panted, his magic swirling and churning like a maelstrom. "Not enough..."

Getting up, the tattoos on his arms lit up with magic and he prepared to empower himself as a long string of Ancient Greek was subvocalized, thunder beginning to crackle in his hands. There was a soft warning in his head, chiding him for what he was about to do but he ignored it. "Thousand Bolts!"

The powerful high level magic spell erupted into being, swirling at the edge of his hands as he commanded "Stagnet!" And before it could discharge, it spun into a tight ball.

Suddenly, a terrible pain shot through his chest and he coughed, grasping his mouth as it became damp. Blood...? How?

That same voice warned him he was straining himself, that he wasn't fully healed. Reluctantly, he dismissed the spell. Something wasn't right.
