An Update!!!
Ok, not really.
I played too many games.
I got 7/16 on the 8-Bit Gamer test.

Ok, from the top down...
* Guy with the balloon or hammer -- I recognize him, but I just can't place him.
* Winged frog dude -- No clue. Though the creepiness is vaguely recognizable.
* Dog Dude -- I took a wild guess and said Tank Girl, cuz I remembered dog dudes in the movie. I was wrong.
* King Guy -- Again, I recognize him. I know who it is, but I can't for the life of me remember the game.
* Space Bug -- It's not galaga. Definitely from something in that genre though. The problem lies in the fact that they all look the same. Oh wait...no it's not. I recognize it now. Metroid!
* Mario -- Punch Out. It's the stance that gave it away.
* Blue Wand Dude -- Uhh.....He's got one eye and a large mouth. But that doesn't tell me anything.
* Sneaking Dude -- Of all the ones I didn't get, I think this one is bugging me the most. Another I recognize but can't place. That makes 3 so far, for those of you counting.
* Ninja -- Final Fantasy
* Springy Thing -- Mega Man
* Dinosaur -- Make that 4. I dinstinctly remember fighting this guy, I think with some sort of projectile. But I can't place it. Vaguely reminds me of the shell-less koopas in SMW, but since that's not 8-bit, it's out.
* Umbrella -- A Boy and His Blob. I loved that game.
* Grinning Machine -- Uh. Sort of recognize it, but not really.
* Bird Thing -- No clue.
* Flying R -- Contra
* Seal with a crown -- Super Mario Bros. 3. I got it wrong at first, because I typed in brothers. Until I looked at their example.
So yeah, I got 7. Metroid, Punch Out, Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Boy and His Blob, Contra, and SMB3. 4 others I recognize, but can't figure out who they are / what they're from.
Willing to take help from all of you. :)
