Very likely that the Coke they get is made with real cane sugar rather than with corn syrup as it is practically only in the States as a cost-cutting measure. You can sometimes find Coke in glass bottle six packs here in the States; it's usually the kind made with cane sugar. I'd be interested to know if it tastes the same to you, once you return, as the Coke you're drinking in Japan does.
