What's wrong with your Dreamcast? I fixed the lens on mine, what do you need done?
The lens is incredibly difficult to fix, as it needs to be turned JUST RIGHT. So you have to spend a good hour turning it every half-millimeter and turning it on to see if it works. :\
I'm not sure what's wrong with it, all I know is when I opened it up to see why it wouldn't work it had a lot of ash in it. My dad must've used it as an ashtray or something. Thanks for the tip on the lens, I'll have a shot at that.
I'd suggest passing on the Nomad. The screen has awful motion blur and the system tends to crash if you so much as breath on the inserted cartridge. Combine that with relatively large size and a propensity to eat batteries like a Hummer drinks gas and there's little reason to spend the money.
Except that it's neat. But it's not THAT neat, IMO. If you wanna play Genny a CDX is a better investment.
*nods* I've heard it eats batteries alive, I wouldn't use it without a power adaptor. The being neat is basically the reason I want it, I love the Sega consoles - MegaDrive (aka Genesis) was my first ever console. Thanks for the tips on it though, I'll wait til I've got money to burn before I shell out for it.
