Community Spam

I've just deleted a block of spam from one of this community's members. Given the large volume and irrelevance of most of the articles (one came close enough that it might have been left alone if it weren't part of a larger spam package), I'd like to take this opportunity to remind those posting to this community to keep all posts on topic to ( Read more... )

Yes, and she does continue to post irrelevant items. However, of those in the past ten you'll find many which *are* justifiably relevant, which is why I didn't delete them. It's also worth noting that this is a relatively inactive community and even if a post is slightly off topic, it's still a nucleus around which to form discussion.

Of course, when you count the number of posts I've had to delete, the signal to noise ratio is still well below 0.5. If a few more complaints come in, I may have to just pull the trigger and ban this user.

I assure you, she is well under warning.

The problem took care of itself, and you won't be seeing those posts anymore.
