Of Boys And Men update (sherlocklouchverse, their first case)

Apr 07, 2012 02:55

Summary: The only thing Suzaku hoped for was finding an apartment. Not getting involved in crime cases or dealing with the shenanigans of the only operating consulting detective. 00, inspired by BBC's “Sherlock”.

Word Count: 2336

Warning(s): Despite this being 00, Watsonzaku is still very much John Watson in certain aspects (three continents!), so he ( Read more... )

I like how you made Genbu be the one with the drinking problem and how you used it to subtly delve into Watsonzaku's past.

Also, the part when Lelouch was talking about looking for tangible things in crime scenes rather than emotional things and looking into Suzaku's eyes...that was excellent. <3

Kallen as Lestrade = ♥ And I like how Suzaku notices how tired and overworked she is and understands her a bit. He's sweet like that.

...Poor Rolo :( Poor, poor Rolo. But I loved the last few lines. They tied this up together nicely. :)

Sorry my comment wasn't great. I feel like this would have been better if I had put it in bullet points. XD

I'm pretty certain one could have fitted Kaguya to be one with the drinking problem (and I like how BBC does that with Harry -- because female alcoholics is breaking the general expectations/subverting a trope), but ...I just felt that, for my purposes, having Genbu would be relevant and interesting to explore.

Thank you <333. I wanted to have just a bit of UST, and I noticed that Sherlock does the looking into eyes things quite often and fondly even (and I just have a kink for scenes like that <3).

I could have had her as Donovan, but ... having a female Detective Inspector is more interesting! And it makes her more of a central character than Sally Donovan (though she's not unimportant, and I do love her but oh well XD).

...Yes, I treated him rather badly in this story. Come of to think of it, this is the first time I've ever mentioned Rolo ...>__<

LOL it's fine :D I love this comment, and it made me really happy ^___^. Really I'm happy if you guys read this story at all, so much that any comments means the world to me.

Aw, I'm glad. <3

And yeah, since Kallen is a prominent character in Geass it makes sense to me that she would be prominent in this fic. It kind of makes me wonder what characters are going to fill what roles. Shirley as Molly? CC as Irene? XD

Oh, by the way, I'm the person who followed you on tumblr if you can't tell by my obnoxious username and pink background XD. I'm not stalking you. I just...stalk the Code Geass tag and found you. Yeah. XD

Right, okay. I should be *bricked* for not being more responsive on Eljay (I just don't like this site very much anymore >___<)

C.C as Irene is a must :D (though I've been spoilt by 'Adlerzaku' XD You know what I mean :D). Hmm, Shirley as Molly fits scaringly well, yes.

XDDD LOL it's fine. I'm much more comfortable with tumblr these days. It's shinier and easier to use :DDDD

I love how you wrote about Lelouch's reaction to Suzaku's praise, not smug, but genuinely pleased that someone is acknowledging him without being condescending.

Oh, poor Rolo. I know it fits his character, but Lelouch's behavior is insensitive bordering on offensive. Maybe not bordering. It's hypocritical of me, because I find it funny when Sherlock reacts like that to murder cases, but rape cuts deep.

I'd kind of be interested in seeing how Sherlock would deal with a living rape victim. I think it would shake him emotionally. It's easy to distance yourself when the victim's already dead.

You mean Of Boys and Men wasn't the actual title before? Oh, well happy to be of help then.

I took it over from the Sherlock BBC verse -- Sherlock just seemed so surprised with John's praise. I thought it would fit eerily well here too.

It's supposed to be offensive. I think there's nothing pardonable about Lelouch's behaviour here, and my hope is that -- through Suzaku's influence -- he'll learn to curb that insensitivity of his.

I think Sherlock would be less ... insensitive, definitely. Probably the way he dealt with w when the old woman died? He was *shocked*

You were a great help <333

Okay, I'll go and read your drabble in a bit. Sorry, I didn't see it before >__

Oh, I'm glad, because I actually restrained myself about the offensiveness to because I didn't want to hurt your feelings. I thought his behavior was horrible. Good to know that was the point.

Sherlock would still be really bad with a rape victim. I don't think he'd know what to say. Ever seen House? His character is based off Holmes, and when he got a rape victim as a patient, he kept trying to bring her to someone else because he couldn't handle something like that.

Don't worry -- you wouldn't have hurt my feelings that easily -- and in the worst case, we could have always discussed it. I'm actually *glad* you pointed it out because it shows that he's offensive, downright horrible here. (That's also why I put the warnings and rated the chapter NC-17, though I didn't specify ...things).

Hmm, yes I know House. I watch it too, haha ? Though I'm still very behind. Yeah, I could see it -- I definitely can now. I admit I'm terrible, but you are giving me ideas to read/write a fic dealing with such a situation, but ...maybe not now. I have a bit much on my plate at the moment.
