Had a beyond shitty day, woke up to this lovely meme :D

"Name a fandom, a character or pairing, and a single word. I will write a drabble featuring or based on that word."

Since I'm not really into anything beyond Sherlock, House and Geass this these days, let's abridge this a bit. You can, MAY, request anything from these fandoms. You can try other ( Read more... )

Written in like ten minutes. I actually have a backstory for this ;-;

There is a list of things Sherlock never imagined happening in his life. The first incident of that occurring when he finds out that knowing a bit about the solar system (unimportant, redundant gibberish he picked up at school --) is helpful, after all. But those are exceptions, he tells himself and John just shakes his head and calls him an ‘impossibly irritating sod’ with a silly smile on his face (the smile saying that he isn’t all that annoyed after all) But the funny thing about life is that it’s not a governable universe, that it is not a vacuum that either yields right or wrong results, but is a topsy-turvy muddle of grey, ‘what ifs’ and annoying illogical bits and pieces that don’t fit into a greater whole. Sherlock usually ignores them, was a champion at it, until one foggy September evening when John doesn’t come back home ( ... )

And the funny, the sad thing is that it’s the look on John’s face that sends the bile rising to his throat. Of course, the marks, the torn underlip, and the way he’d laboriously walked up the stairs were hints enough, but Sherlock knows John. He knows that John wouldn’t look this serious if something bad hadn’t happened.

(John usually smiles, even in the face of death; John is a grown up man who dresses in jumpers and prepares himself for Christmas months before the actual event even with a dangerous dominatrix on the loose; John is kind, John is patient, John is -

John would take it like a real soldier, not utter a word even if it hurt. John would endure everything if done for the right purposes ( ... )

Sorry I'm so late to comment on this! I really enjoyed reading this. You displayed John's emotions and Sherlock's reaction very well. And that bit about the solar system. I always thought it was stupid of Sherlock to "delete" what he felt was useless information. Everything becomes relevant eventually.

I think, for the first time, Sherlock really wished he wasn't so observant

I haven't forgotten about your request. Hopefully I'll have that up soon!

The facts presented here, mythology-wise, are completely wrong :P But I think I had too much er, fun with this O.o?

The Gods, sometimes, have a terrible sense of humour when they're bored. Instead of playing chess, or listening to Mozart or Bach, they -God and Satan, to be more precise - decided to play a cruel trick on a mortal called Suzaku Kururugi.

Either that or you’re just helluva unlucky if you’ve been named after a phoenix.

(The one who rises from the ashes --)

Lelouch sighs as he watches Suzaku rush headlong into another of his suicide attempts that he - because denial is a river in Egypt - masquerades as a feat of noble heroism.

At the thought of that , Lelouch merely scowls ( ... )

Wow, you're fast XD

I was still editing this <3.

But I'm glad you liked :)

I think this, if expanded, could actually function as a proper AU XD

Fair warning: I've never written for House before.

***

House doesn't necessarily want to save Wilson because he's afraid of losing him. He's lost people before. Shit happens.

Nor is it because he fears being alone. He's always been alone, what does one person less in this world who gives a damn about him matter ? He won't stop functioning just because someone else will stop existing.

It's not because he thinks Wilson needs to live. A lot of people more worthy than Wilson die every day. Life is unfair like that, and House won't treat anyone any differently --

And yet, he fights for Wilson. And yet, the very thought of losing him makes House feel more than he should.

Because, no matter how unworthy, how solitary or how used to alone House is being, he can't live without Wilson, and -- no matter what Wilson says -- House needs him.

He'll die without him.

That and he's always been a selfish bastard.

"So when are you finally going to play rollerderby?" Lily asked Jojo, while she glanced up from her high gloss fashion magazine, meeting Joyo's eyes rather expectantly. Joyo looked away, and Lily sighed, shifting on the bed. “You know, it does do wonders for your legs.” And, as if to ascertain that, she shifted even further on the bed, knowing that the mattress would creak, knowing fully well, too, that Joyo’s gaze would be glued to her thighs - well shaped, and on full display since Lily had wisely chosen to put on her hot pants today, instead of opting for jeans as usual (hell, she was sexy and she knew it).

And when she heard Joyo mumble ‘okay, I’ll consider it’, and then heard the mattress creak under the added weight of Joyo sitting down next to her, Lily knew she’d won, but the victory tasted even sweet when Joyo pressed her lips against hers.

It starts out as the same old sob story that everyone’s got goin’ these days (‘I ain’t the got money, honey, so let’s resort to do this because they’re eternally asleep anyway, and it’s not like they’d give a shit, right?). Neil tries not to think too much about it, especially not when he’s already got the shovel in his hand, the cigarette in his mouth and is working on digging out more and more of the earth, throwing it behind and behind him till he’s got a little hill ( ... )

HOLY F---! XDDDDDD You did Neil's POV! *loves you forever and ever* And you rocked it, too! <333 That bit about the church - that ttly happened, I'm sure)))) It's very Neil-like.
LOL, now I wonder why the hell he's digging up some bones. XD It's definitely something he would do and not even have many qualms about it. XDD Thank you so much, darling! <333

LOL LOL LOL. I have no idea what this is, honey. I think it's some of alternate crapsack world verse, where poverty is arising and people are forced to do such things (...yeah, ignore me. I have no idea where *this* came from). That and I just like the idea of writing criminals, and your prompt was 'graverobbers' :P

I'll see what I'll do with this plot bunny ))

Hmmm, I think I enjoy writing Neil more than Alex actually. Maybe it's because Alex just has too much of *me*, but it could just be that I love Neil -- he's such jerk with a heart of gold.

(And where is that prequel, darling? I *wants* it).
