I'm so glad you enjoyed Yuri On Ice! To be honest, though I've seen my fair of sports anime, I've never been invested in the sports of which they cover. It's the relationships within the anime that make it for me.

I am a huge fan of Slam Dunk and Real!, both of which got me heavily interested in basketball. I think a lack of episodes probably contributed to YoI seeming a bit lacklustre on the sports part for me. It's not a huge grip though.

I guess I have never been that interested in figure skating, anyway. My Ma forced me to watch a few competitions, so I guess I would never been much invested in it anyway XDD.
