Oh, I understand that, but still. It seems kind of ridiculous that NASA should lose the original footage of the most famous space mission ever.

at least there are other copies out there. just not the original.

what really gets my panties in a bunch is the fact that the bbc threw some of the original dr. who footage away. there are episodes of the doctor that are going to have to be remastered from shitty 3rd gen videotape if i'm ever to see them in my lifetime. grr.

Dude, that sucks. Why do people throw things like that away? Well, at least nowadays people have learned their lesson and they don't throw anything away. Or at least not as much.

Yeah, but the copies are of poorer quality. Who knows what kind of shape the original is in, but still. It would be nice if they could find it.
