I have a sister!

Well, my brother's wedding finally came yesterday. It was wonderful. The weather was chilly but the sun was warm, so getting pictures taken outside in halter dresses didn't suck as badly as it could have. The bride and groom looked great, as did everyone else. Thanks! I was pretty scared about it but I was able to keep my composure for three reasons: one, the head table was on the other side of the dance floor just like at our wedding so the crowd was far away; two, I wasn't wearing my glasses so I couldn't see the faces of most of them; and three, I mostly just looked at Jim & Deena when I wasn't looking at my notes.

Congrats on the speech.

My best friend wanted me to give a speech at her wedding and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I kick myself now because I'm jealous of the girl who had the balls to do it!

Thanks. It's a really hard thing to do; I don't blame you. I was really close to bailing out, but then I decided to tell my dad I was going to do it the night before. I got the words out of my mouth as quickly as possible because I knew that once I told him I couldn't change my mind. Until that moment I hadn't told anyone I was even thinking about doing it, not even Will, because I didn't want to feel bad if I chickened out.

I think the thing that really ensured that I'd do it was actually writing it. I was able to write it without pressure because nobody knew about it, and by the time I was done I couldn't imagine not reading it to them.
