I swear you read my mind. I was planning to post and/or email a very similar idea. Except in my mind it was more like a monthly thing since I find it difficult to commit to anything weekly beyond school. But I'd love to participate (and maybe we could switch off hosting duties some time?)

Weird! I'm glad you like the idea. :) I was thinking not everybody who's interested would be able to make it every time anyway, and that's fine. That way sometimes it could be a small group, like four of us, and other times there could be a group large enough to split off into two games. If you want to host sometimes that would be cool!
