Using this Style

If you want to use the style, go to your styles page, create a new style, then choose the "other ..." option in the "layout" dropdown box. In the layerid box, put in 4014482, and press the "change" button. If there is a particular colour scheme you want to use, select the "other..." option in the "theme" dropdown box and enter in the layer number from the table. Then, go back to your styles page, and press the "use" button next to the style you just created.

To customize the style, go to the customize journal page and click on the "customize" button (or the "edit customizations" button). Ignore what it says in Steps 1 and 2. After you click on the button, you will be brought to a customization wizard page, where you can change all the options to your heart's content. All of the resulting customizations will be saved into a user layer, which you can access in your layers page.

If you use the style in this way, you are basically linking to my style (the layout layer) and building on top of it with your customizations (the user layer). This means that when I make an update to the style (such as a bug fix), it will automatically be updated in your journal as well. Your customizations will still work.
Copying this Style

Some of the more advanced tutorials (adding emoticons, search/replace) will require you to create your own theme layer. This means you will have to create a copy of the layout layer. To do so, go to your layers. Under the "create top-level layer" heading, select "layout" in the "type" dropdown box, and press the "create" button. A new layout layer will appear in your list of layers. Find it and click on the "edit..." button next to it. Then, paste everything from here into the textbox, and press the "compile" button.

Copying a style like this has one big disadvantage. If I make any changes (bug fixes, new functionality, etc.) to the style, the changes will not be reflected on your journal. I will try to document every change I make to the style here so at least you will be able to tell when I make an update. And then if there's a major bug fix/change you can copy over the new code to your layer.
Creating a Theme Layer

To create a theme layer, go to your layers page. Under the "Create layout-specific layer" heading, select "theme" in the "type" dropdown box, and "Transmogrified" in the "layout" dropdown box. Then press the "create" button.
