Did you really have Ed carve 3 Oct 10 on his wand? What part of "Hidden, not even Al knows it's inside the watch" did you miss?

Given that Ed is from post-movie (and thus experienced a lot of development since episode 17 where he admits to Winry that he hadn't told Al) and that Al already knows what was inside the watch (since it burst open in episode 41, after Kimblee stole it from Al and threw it at Scar), I figured that by now, Ed would be okay with it. His wand is something he keeps on himself at all times and he has no intention of explaining the date to anyone who might ask, so it's there to serve as a reminder. And the only person who knows what the date means already knows about it. Does that seem too far out of the realm of possibility?

Yeah, it does still seem way off from what Ed would do. To be honest it seems like nothing more than a cheap ploy to get other characters to go "Oh what does that mean?" so Ed can share his tragic backstory.

Can I ask why you think it's off for Ed? It honestly wasn't my intention to have him wave it around for anyone to see, much less use it as a "ploy" to get people to ask about his background* and my thought was that it would be covered by Ed's fingers most of the time, if the wand is ever out in the open to see (since Ed's not the type to brandish it very often anyway).

I like threading with Ed but it kinda skeeves me out how you use canon to suit your personal preferences and are constantly justify and covering up everything you do wrong so you can avoid adressing people's concerns. Plus you don't talk about anything but your character. Don't care about anyone else's or their thoughts. You're obsessed.

May I ask what you mean by people's concerns? The only one I've heard so far is regarding Ed's wand, as you see above. I'm sorry, but other than that, I'm not sure what you mean.

With regards to the issue of not talking about anything but Ed, could you specify more about this? I do have a lot of discussions about him and FMA on plurk with a variety of Ed players and though our interpretations often vary, I had never thought I was disregarding people's thoughts.

On this HMD maybe, but you've had crit that wasn't on here or official. I've seen it. You're doing exactly what I said. Focusing on an aspect that doesn't matter so you can avoid accepting that you're doing something that isn't perfect.

Seriously? I don't know how much plainer I can say it. You are obsessed. You talk about the same thing all the time and ignore everyone else. I thought you weren't an idiot. Maybe because you need everyone to tell you the details of everything instead of figuring stuff out for yourself is why people get pissed off at you. You and your rp style are self-centered. Ed's personality may be IC but his actions aren't. This isn't the first time someones said that to you!! Like in the case with the wand you use being polite to excuse how you don't consider anyone but yourself.
