Well, today sucked so much ass I don't even think there's a measurement for it. Sculpture was mundane, English; boring, study halls; lame, Government was sleep-inducing, AP art was kinda queer, and textiles was just plain stupid. if religions were created to control the masses, why were they started by those from humble beginnings, as opposed to some sort of authority figure?

They use ordinary, simple people as their idols to appeal to the common everyday person. This way it's like, "Hey, look at that joe schmoe healing LEPERS with his own touch, thanks to the power this GOD person gave him! Let's all worship him so he can bless us too!1!one1!"

That, or they were started by humble people and then it was so horribly warped by those that hungered for power, turning into the controlling device it's so well known as today.

Don't get me wrong, the prophets probably existed, but I don't think they turned water to wine or rose from the dead or parted the red sea. Those are more than likely just stories to make god sound good. *shrugs*
