Kinda/sorta? He had apparently been noticing me around town for years, but he was in relationship and never approached me. We were at a mutual friend's party where he was DJing, but didn't actually speak. Then a week or a few days later, he found one of my profiles and messaged me about my movie tastes, and after exchanging a few messages we set up a date.

I met my share of loonies through online dating, but I've also met a handful of really awesome people (some of whom I dated and some of whom I became friends with). It's kind of a tossup. After a while you get better at spotting the crazies.

My Detroit techno related friend Lori from Austin, TX works for Match.com. You should ask your friend who is writing the article if he/she wants me to get him/her in touch with Lori.
