I like that you voice your opinions, or that you even have them. Not many do, it appears, or if they do they do not know why they have them.

I hope this time around everybody votes (and I hope even more that they vote as well-informed as they can possibly be). It's a nice thought. I have been feeling very cynical lately, hammered down by smear campaigns and one-note slogans and fear being shoveled down my throat by every media outlet around.

But reading this made me feel good again. Not exactly patriotic, but at least enough to get me into the voting booth (even if I don't particularly think anything will change for the better). So thank you for that.

I should thank you for reading (and actually thinking about it). I'd be so interested to talk to you more about politics and the world at large in person, though.

Can we get together soon? I'll be gone Halloween weekend but maybe the weekend after?
