If I straightened my hair, dyed it black, waxed it, aquired a taste for overly whining music and scarves, I bet I'd be like, So Hot...and just EVERYONE would adore me and tell me how awesome I am

I agree with the scene. I think this scene will end as soon as they find more trends, and change subgenres. Which one is most popular, you see it everywhere. I don't understand why people change to fit in with people, or music.. I feel that I'm amanda and that I dont try to fit in with anyone but myself.. as long as I know im real then.. it doesnt matter. and I think the same for you. That youre real.
There will always be scene kids. There will be people who come and go, and there will be people who stick with it. It's not all about fashion, tight clothes, cool hair, bandannas, and the like.
It's about a love of hardcore. People with similar interests coming together. Once the "trend" changes, those who actaully like the music will be seperated from the trend following sheep.
I hate hair dye. Eh, I think black hair is so.. nondescript.
Honestly - I knew A LOT of subculture kids before any of this 'scene' was popular. The closest thing to a hardcore kid was a gutter punk and the closest thing to an 'emo' kid was a mopey Goth. I can't see ANYONE I know staying with this 'scene' once it changes. It's irritating to go to shows with the people who have transformed to 'scene' kids and have them give me dirty looks because I don't look like I 'belong'. Those kids can suck my dick, and I hope they realize they have no identity when this stupid hair in face, screaming, depressed in-out of love scene dies. dammit.
Whoo, run on sentence? Sort of. Anyway, yeah, that was my rant. Not intended to offend, just defend. [ my point of veiw that is ] ^_^
