Reading this article has been very informative for me learning about both kamikaze pilots and contemporary suicide bombers. Being someone who does not understand the original need to cause such violence and create such wars, reading information on the ideology and psychology on both I find to be discouraging, but also fascinating. I couldn't agree more with you in saying that I do not understand the motives of such suicide bombers. I understand the principles but really can not justify one's own suicide to strike fear into an enemy.
One thing that you did not mention that I hope you caught was the point Tanaka brought up proving that the United States has been guilty of such terrorism in the past; a fact that I found very startling yet very obvious.
