I think you did a wonderful job of summarizing Stephen Lewis’ thoughts/feelings. It’s hard to really imagine what life would be like for a family in Africa, but I think the least we can do is think about it... Too many people just look the other way. Change seems hard to come by when everyone’s too afraid to do anything about it.

Actually, I would be extremely interested in hearing about your trip to Thailand. Maybe a best and worst part..?

My trip to Thailand was needless to say, an amazing experience. I fell inlove with that country and I long to go back and explore more of it one day. I am indeed bit by the travel bug, ha ha. The worst part was definitely seeing all the damage from the Tsunami on one of the islands, Koh Phi Phi, it was absolutely devastating, however I was happy that I was able to help with some volunteer work. As far as the best part, it's hard to say one best part specifically, I only ventured around the south for a bit over a month and had so many great experiences. There is a good reason as to why it is a very touristy destination.

Your attention to details was obvious to me. You did a great job with that. I think that you are right when you say that we, in the developed world, have no idea of the hardships suffered in developing countries. The hospitality and grace of those people, in there hardships, is both inspirational and humbling.
