Apparently, Japanese Cell Phones now come with a function that allows you to set up a SIMULATED (Aka: FAKE) Incomming call, along with timing of when it should happen.

I have NO IDEA WHY something like this is necessary in life, but ZOMG it makes me Happy and DIE of laughter XD

OH JAPAN!

I could think of a million times to use this! Have it call you in the middle of meeting someone, in case you want a convenient excuse to get away. Set it up to call you during late walks home. I would set it up to go at the push of a button so I could get away from obnoxious people talking to me!

I repeat the refrain: Oh, Japan!

Wait till I tell you about the TV show called 「テイク・ミー・ホム」 that comes on around Midnight-ish.

I'll give you a hint: 30女vs1男

Granted, there ARE sketchier game shows in the states, but some of the answers they had were pure awesome!

You've been away from Japanese guys for too long if you can't figure out why this is useful.

(most of my friends have a phone with this function - AU does it too. their phones also have rape alarms)

They have rape alarms too? THAT sounds useful!

I'm guessing I could always use it to get out of an all-nighter if I wanted to. Set it for the last train and be all "Oh, no. I have to go home Right Away!"

I guess I don't expect to date much while in Japan so it didn't dawn on me that I might get stuck some kind of weird situation that I would need it.
