I loved reading this, Trish. We'd have hot water also...gas heater!

Still, we can either whine or turn it into an adventure when things like this happen.

Glad you enjoyed your down time. As for me, after more than 7 weeks of compulsory down time, the weekend sucked big time. Even more confined, cold, and miserable than ever. I asked David if we had any drugs that would knock me out until Wednesday. Nothing to do. Nobody to talk to. Couldn't read, watch movies, talk on the phone, or pretty much anything. It was OLD after about 10 minutes, in my opinion.

For you it was a vacation. For me, an exceptionally cold and miserable solitary confinement.

Your days of being out of electricity were a reminder to me of our October storm and electricity out for eight days; three friends and neighbors moved in with me for those eight to ten days. It is really good at times to have the routine broken and coping with remembered times of the years before. Makes one even more thankful for all that we have besides the good friends that share our lives; yours were the same good sports as the ones who lived with me those eight to ten days...good seeing your post, Trish. Just keep right on having your interesting life and telling us about it.
