Title: Chemical Analysis
Rating: Um. It's pretty G, unless you know organic chemistry.
Mood: Embarrassed
Disclaimer: Not mine *le sigh*
Summary: Bruce thinks Tim has been poisoned. Tim thinks he's going to kill Bart.

Bruce held out a new sample slide for Tim while the computer finished analyzing Dick's. Tim had just gotten back from a Titan's mission, only to join them, and was looking exhausted. Tim did not take the slide from him. This was not normal. He browsed through Dick's results, and they showed him clear of anything unusual. He turned to Tim.

"Spit," he said. Tim looked awkward.

"Oh, I didn't get hit with the gas." Tim was avoiding protocol? This was definitely cause for concern.
"Robin," Bruce said. Tim's faced shifted slightly, to something almost a wince, and he spat on the slide. Bruce kept an eye on him as he stood beside him. He was turning faintly pink. Bruce suspected he most certainly had gotten hit with whatever the gas had been. He scrolled through the analysis the computer was showing him, looking for something unusual.

'H2N-(CH2)3-NH-(CH2)4-NH-(CH2)3-NH2', was listed in the contents, and that shouldn't be in saliva. Bruce had just started running through molecular structures for poisons when his brain abruptly shifted gears without the clutch. He frowned.

"Tim. I believe we have to have a little chat." Tim stared at the ground and nodded, his face now very red. Dick looked confused.

"What? What's wrong? What's going on?" He leaned forward to examine the screen. His eyes went wide. He started laughing uproariously. Tim turned an as-yet-uncataloged shade of fuchsia.

Bruce glared. Dick laughed harder. Tim began to look like he'd like to melt into the floor. Bruce crossed his arms, and swept away. Tim followed morosely.

Bart was so not convincing him of ‘special goodbyes’ ever. again.
