I just saw the finale. Firstly: I want Twilight's sad little ballad at the library to be expanded into a full-blown song. It was that dang powerful. Same goes for Celestia's song (OMFG CELESTIA SANG A SONG OMG) - it needs expanding and remixing but I want a full-blown version DANG IT.
Secondly? As to the surprise ending?
Heee!! TWILIGHT'S AN ALICORN! Okay, so it was rushed, but who cares? I am all for moving this series along and moving on to new challenges and situations and next season looks interesting to say the least. The worried expressions on Celestia's face (and on Luna's) and the fact that this series finale is actually part 1 of a 3-part episode means next season is gonna open with a BANG!
I am so hoping for at least one episode with Twi learning how to fly with Rainbow Dash and at least 2 crash landings. C'mon, book smart doesn't mean sport-smart and since she could fly after her coronation ceremony, that means sometime between the magical zapping from the Twilight Zone (see what I did there) and her party in Equestria, there had to be downtime. Lots of time to practice flying.
Also, what was with those white and blonde ponies carrying Twilight's banner? Quadruplets? The filly-friends of the quadruplet grey guards following behind? I just laughed - it looked like the ponified version of Paris Hilton times 4.
Okay, I'm done.
Also, I watched episode 9 and I'm halfway thru ep 10 of the Walking Dead. DARRYL.
OMG. I understand why fandom is having joygasms over this man. :) And yay - we finally get Tyreese from the comic showing up! Michonne and now Tyreese - two of my fave characters. I just hope what happened to Ty in the comics doesn't happen in the show. I want him to stick around. I am ambivalent about Merle. I believe he's going to be killed soon. Either that, or he'll leave and live forever. I love that Darryl is going 'home' to his group. He can't leave little asskicker unprotected. :)
Sorry - I haven't watched much TV lately and I finally sat down tonight to see what I've been missing.
In animal news, Remy was not adopted at Adoption Day today though there was some interest. Spitfire is still on heavy meds but he's getting better and BIGGER. He's going to the vet next week for his vaxxies and he should be cleared for Adoption Day in MArch. Lastly, Kat texted me and told me she has a date for Tesla to get The Snip next week - she's tired of him jumping in front of her and wagging the boys in her face. So, off they come. He finally lost his last baby tooth and he's over 6 months, so it should be all good.
...why are there still fireworks going off tonight? Spring Festival ended a week ago people!
