So glad to see Brett Cullen back as Goodwin.  I've liked him since his days as the sheriff on The Young Riders.  It's good to know that even if you're speared through the chest on LOST you can come back via flashback.

Does anyone else think Michael could be Ben's "friend" on the boat?  Or I guess it could even be Walt if there's really a time thing

YES! I thought the exact same thing, that Michael is the guy on the boat. It just hit me in the middle of the show. Sort of bummed that I figured it out, but still brings up a lot of questions, like how he got there, why he's doing it, why Walt is wandering the island, how he is in contact with Ben, etc.

I never thought of that, Ben and Penny having a thing. Yes, they do look a lot a like, but I didn't notice because all the scrawny chicks on Lost look alike. That would be a very cool twist. Ben could be the one that Penny was engaged to. But I always figured that she was engaged to Sun's lover (that got tossed out the window). And I thought that Ben's "you look like her" was that girl (was her name Annie or something) that was in his flashback, that gave him the creepy carved doll for his birthday as a kid. She seemed to disappear without an explanation. Maybe, though, that girl and Penny are one and the same. That would be cheating because they don't have the same name, though.
