Is anyone else disgusted by this?

 It's a little bit disconcerting to me that so many merchants are trying so hard to get their fingers on tax rebate checks.  I've heard several different commercials where stores will offer credit above and beyond the check value if you sign the whole thing over to their store.  I understand the point is to stimulate the economy and Bush's

yes, I've been very disgusted by it. Lewis Black was discussing it last night on the Daily Show. American's love of crap and overindulgence and debt is what got us into this mess in the first place. I'm using my check to pay my bills, and I really mean it.

Wanted to use mine to pay off debts. Seriously. Had, like, debt-payoff fantasies about my tax rebate.

But then my current HR/payroll mess cropped up, and now I'll be using it just to pay off the same old bills. :P
