I used to think of her when I thought of you, because you're so intertwined even after her passing. I haven't in a while, mainly I think because I haven't gotten to talk to you as regularly as I used to. Now I just feel thoroughly strange and complicated myself, especially because MY birthday is just two days from now and I'm about to crack thirty.

It's even more bizarre that I've actually managed to ignore my birthday for the last few years. I just sort of go 'shrug, I'm another year older and getting cool stuff'. I imagine that gets a whole lot more difficult to do as people age, but that's an entirely random tangent. XD

On another tangent I've rarely heard of the Feast of the Assumption. I spend a ton of time reading up on beliefs and faiths, though...

Probably because Feast of the Assumption is Catholic, and they have a ZILLION feasts. On the upside, it means random carnivals and fancy pastries on Staten Island.

Birthdays are weird all over, man. Truth.
