While it is true that habaneros are hotter than jalapenos, I wouldn't say they are like jalapenos. Habaneros have a sweeter taste, to me, while jalapenos have a slightly bitter hot.

But then, I love hot peppers.

It's all spicy to me.

*grins* I'm not a hot and spicy fan. I just know anything hotter than a certain level (red pepper flakes) is too much for me to eat, but I'd also heard about the hotness scale, which is where I was drawing my inadequate comparison. Thanks for the clarification, though. :)

I like red pepper flakes...and normal pepper too. Jalapenos are hit and miss with cooking...I like a bit of heat.
