Spoilers for 6.06!

I have zillions of questions about what's happening on Doctor Who, but the one at the forefront of my mind right now is, How long is "a very long time"? Which is how long the Doctor says that Amy hasn't been herself.

Because Flesh!Jen (was that her name?) kept talking about "the little girl with the red wellies". And I know she was trying to make the audience identify with her and give her some backstory, but she kept running around trying to kill people, and frankly I couldn't care less about her. But there is a little girl in red wellies in this story that I do care about. And that's a very identifiable description of her. I don't think it can be a coincidence; I'm sure that her image was being intentionally evoked.

And remember that shot in The Eleventh Hour that was never explained, of Amelia hearing the TARDIS and looking up?

What if something did come back for her? o_O Something that looked like the Doctor and the TARDIS (it was in the acid too, there could have been a copy of it)? Something that took her away, and left a replica? How is it a duck pond if there aren't any ducks? How is it an Amy Pond if there isn't any Amy?

You know, way back in The Eleventh Hour, we saw another Doctor and another Amelia--Prisoner Zero took their forms. Foreshadowing? Or just establishing the "parallel" theme that was going to come later?

I think that is too complicated and horrifying for a show which is theoretically aimed at kids. But at this point, I'm not sure of anything.
