Potential for Romance

Last night's dream was a doozy! A man I do not know (or do not recognize) approached me at the campfire circle and talked most mysteriously knowledgeably about my nonexistent love life, as though it really existed. Not only that, but as if it were a good thing to have. And I was okay with that, at least in the dream. He talked rhapsodically about his German wife, and acted as if he were sincere in his feelings for her. Then he went on to analyze my situation with the one he sees as my potential mate... Not Paul Peter, for all his claiming to have a solid back history with me where I'm not there to deny it, or he believes me to be out of hearing. Not with Mickey, a perfectly suitable candidate, in my humble opinion. But with CU! My heart, I do have to admit, fluttered, but, alas, was unconvinced.
In this man's eyes, here's the state of my love life:
Cu courts new teacher.
Teacher is attracted to Cu from the start, and lets him know, but subtly. (He justifies that idea by quoting me!)
"A mi cuerpo le gusta muchísimo tu cuerpo." (I had NO IDEA he'd overheard that, or was even there. More of Paul Peter's work? He was there, but I though him too drunk... Now I wonder.)
In reality, he courts her, then backs off; conflicted, perhaps afraid he's misreading the signs, or maybe swayed by the expectations of his people. (I frown here. I've not heard anything that sounds like that.) He's told in the tribe, "Get an Indian wife this time; avoid the problems. Look what happened last time. Was that not warning enough?" (I could see Adriana telling him something like that, but this insightful man would surely discount her evidence were she the only one, as she's so obviously set her cap for the man.)
Continuing in the third person as though he's telling an allegory, he pops out with, "Yet, she keeps doing very Indian things, not by design... almost in spite of herself."
Well, I can hardly deny THAT! In my own defense, I only find out after the fact that the things my conscious leads me to decide to do are only revealed to me to be thought of as Indian after the fact. At the time I chose to do them, they seemed logical, maybe even inevitable. What a lot to contemplate when I'm NOT dreaming!

Next Last updated 12/5/15 Standardized colored day of the week, time headings; tags, headings; added second space after end punctuation; 11/28/15 which, unfortunately, was NOT updated here, as well, and was lost as I reorganized. Sigh. She attributed this world view to Bruno, unnamed, and philosophized eloquently about it, which, alas, I seem to be unable to do at this moment, and the deadline looms; 11/24/15 when transferred to Travelsfar and expanded into an entry in Despina's Infamous Green Journal; 11/14/01.
