I came across a little article on Pantheon that finally pointed me in a focused direction to start a regular practice. Ancestors and Land Spirits.

I love the cup and bowl!

I'm not very knowledgable about my family either. My Nan was adopted, and family on my grandpa's side and my grandad's side are both somewhat estranged.

So I pour out general libations. One to ancestors by blood, one to ancestors by adoption, and another to ancestors by culture!

I think I will pour libations out to known ancestors and another for unknown ancestors who I welcome into my home. The woman who writes about ancestoral worship on that blog also is writing a book on ancestoral work, which I'm eager to read when it's published!
