i've seen both sides of the coin, and there are certain sects of people who tend to whine and cry like a bunch of babies because they can't kick ass.

yeah they're mostly embittered types who dwell in their parent's basements and talk mad shit about "the scene", when deep down their life revolves around it. thanks

everyone is in the "scene" weather they like it or not. Pretty much just people brought together by a common bond of musical tastes and what nots. However I guess a good thing to state would be how much involvement within the scene can make one known as a "scene kid". Now on the topic of the prom...whatever it's an event. I mean you don't see me comming up to where you work to slap the dick out of your mouth! Psshhh let it be and if people are sooooo against it then they should go see Kill Bill Vol.2 on saturday night.

I just find it assinine to sit there and bitch & complain about this shit. Especially when the time comes and they realize that there isn't anything cool going on. They'll end up showing up, and more than likely sit around pissing and moaning about how they just spent ten to fifteen bucks to be a miserable sad sack of shit.

I agree that everyone has some scene claim, despite how much involvement they happen to have. I've never really made scaling the rungs of the scenester ladder my life's passion or long term goal. I sort of just ended up "higher in the ranks" [because I've been told I've got scene status or something??] on account of being older than a lot of the people here. Yep, I've been doing it for quite some time... it weren't for the likes of others and myself opening shit up for kids in the east side... well umm you get the idea.
