To Natalie's then to Jake's

"Mum, I told you I was visiting Jake last week," he said, his bag already packed

Natalie was sitting in the living room waiting for Travis to show up. When he did, she stood up from the sofa and went over to him and gave him a hug, "Hi!"

"Hey," he grinned, hugging her back. "All ready or am I too early?"

"Ready," she told him, "Just let me grab my suitcase and we can go." Natalie crossed the room and grabbed the suitcase and the backpack that was at the bottom of the staircase.

It had taken a little while to convince her parents that she would be perfectly safe going to visit Jake and Elley and that she would owl home often and be home within a week, just like Travis.

"Okay," Natalie said after putting the backpack on and moving to stand beside Travis again.

"Ladies first," he insisted, helping her with the suitcase.

"I'll take this with me. Don't worry about it."

The only thing he had was his backpack with the basics and a kit for his new model. But that would be fine while he traveled.
