Wow, what can I say? The flowers are gorgeous. Bright and just...so lovely. Unexpected, but in a fantastic way. I've been thinking about you often, since our last encounter.
I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that our last conversation went the way it did. Well, most of it. The end was rather nice. It pains me that you and Jake aren't speaking right now. I haven't told him that I came to see you that day, but I probably will. He will be upset at me for trying to protect him, but really I was trying to protect all of us. For a long time, the only way I heard about what was going on in your life was through Jake. I hope going forward, that won't be the case...
I would absolutely love to go to dinner with you next week. I am free most evenings, so just let me know which day works for you and we will get it all set in stone.

Don't apologize for coming over - I've been thinking about it and I'm really glad you came over.
You should tell Jake about it if you think you should. If anything, he'll be shocked we were in the same room together for so long.
