Smokers

Smokers are really bothering me at the moment. Not just cigarette smoke, the smell of the people themselves.

I have always been very sensitive to cigarette smoke, with it setting off my asthma if I inhale only a little. If I get doused in smoke, the asthma keeps getting worse until I take a shower and change my clothes. (I don't know if I would ( Read more... )

They have recently changed the formulation of pre-rolled cigarettes in Australia.
They have changed the chemicals in them so that they no longer smoulder if left unattended.
Because of the fire-risk.
I'd guess you get the same reaction from ppl smoking rollups??

I suppose that could be it. I have no idea whether I react the same to roll-ups. I've never cared to experiment.

My Mum is extreamely sensative to pre-rolled.
She can't stand in the smoke from rollups, but doesn't get cant-breathe thing from standing next to someone who has been smoking them. (unlike pre-rolled). - which is why my brother always got in trouble for smoking and I didn't get caught as much. Mum logic.
I react to some pre-rolled brands (stinging eyes and insta-mucus), but she is much worse.

Still... it couls be worse - it could be cats!

I've recently begun noticing the smell in the lifts at work is more noticable and has a tendancy to linger (arggh... overuse of word but can't think of an alternative).

Two members of my team are regular smokers, they take multiple cigarette breaks over the course of the day. I can smell them over the partition from my desk.
