Okay, so to those who keep track of Chapel Hill area news better than I, this probably comes as no surprise. a few days ago, I called my parents to talk with them, and they threw this lil' piece of news out at me.

wow. in my hometown there are 5 high schools. it's no telling what school you'll end up at.

course now they got rid of redistricting in my town. So when one school is overcrowded they take the new kids and send them to an "alternate" school. crazy kids everywhere. and i think they are building 2 new elementary schools. psh.

That's so crazy... We never had that problem in Berlin. Everyone just crowded into my high school, the torn up textbooks from the eighties, the 25 person science labs, the no funding for the arts. I'm damn lucky I made it out a liberal.

But hopefully the two schools, chapel hill and carrboro will band together in their hatred of east instead of competing for who is more liberal.

lol Peggy totally fixed my confusion about the name, I was trying to remember what my dad said it was going to be called. so I'm recommenting.

I feel like this will probably happen. at least I hope so. but I met there will still be an undercurrent of who is more liberal. I'm so glad they didn't do what east did and keep "chapel hill" in the name to keep the fame. apparently they were gonna call it west chapel hill? but it would be in fucking carrboro. how dumb.
