Sometimes when we think about a situation that we feel strongly about, and we read about the other side's arguments, we'll catch ourselves saying "hmm...maybe they have a point and I just can't see past my own bias." but I find when you switch the roles around, that's when you can tell whether something is ridiculous or not. this is an article in ( Read more... )

Nice exercise, woman. We used one like that in my LAVA (leadership and anti-violence awareness) class to look at gender/race/sexual orientation bias. I read that article too, but on cnn.com. Funny picture with it, though: two super-serious looking men at a press conference. I thought they were a gay couple responding to the homophobes' comments, but it turns out they're the two creepy dads. Apparently, the moms aren't as homophobic as the dads are. Hmm.

those straights need to get their disgusting lifestyle out of my face! Everytime I read stuff like this I get so outraged, for the love of God what about our children!! no one thinks about them, ever, especially not those dirty straights.
I wish they would get over it and stop flaunting, I mean it's fine if they want to do that behind closed doors but please stop pushing your straight agenda!!!
