I was just saying to Sarah that they should keep that sort of news for the Entertainment News. But we weren't talking about Beyonce, we were talking about Lindsay Lohan.
The Beyonce thing was pretty funny though. Not because she fell (singers fall all the time) but because during the concert she asked that if anyone taped it could they please not put it on youtube.
Almost every local news channel last night during their "National News" segment of the show, they brought up this five year girl in Atlanta that had gotten shot in an apartment building. ....
..... ..... People get shot every day, sadly including children. I don't see why it was national news though?
Flooding in Britain, indeed... but the Daily Mail juxtaposed photographs of poor souls up to their waists in water with a picture of Keira Knightley and her boyfriend in London, um, getting a bit damp in the rain. On a normally rainy pavement.
Eh? That's not news.
I was in the Midlands when the flooding was bad, but the waters didn't come near where we were. Lucky for us. My MIL was cut off in her car for a few hours, and we didn't have any electricity for a while, but that was all. It's a real mess in lots of places still, and five people have died... nobody's ever seen it this bad in summer.
That reminds me of a headline from one of those entertainment gossip shows. I didn't actually see it, but my sister said it was about when Michael Jackson fell over, and it was called "Jacko On His Back-O." Too bad Beyonce's name isn't very well-suited to that kind of rhyming. About the best I can do it "Knowles Falls." :P
