So I'm trying to get into Tumblr* and it's given me some thoughts about the One Direction fandom. All these little ones are entering and first experiencing fandom through Tumblr which doesn't foster community or relationships. So, I think the nature of Tumblr encourages all the worst parts of fandom

Huh. That is a very good point. I mostly stay away from tumblr unless I am on a gif hunt, haha. It really fosters that fleeting aspect of the internet, doesn't it? Here one moment, gone the next! And everyone keeps changing their names so I don't know who they are and uuuugh.
