jordan, a sad reality is that people leave; things will change. but that doesn't mean the current moment isn't worth enjoying. you don't have time to waste and even the temporary can be beneficial and beautiful. it is worth it. if you appreciate the moment and not the possibility of more moments, it is worth it. God works in strange ways, my friend. you never know what twist is up ahead in the road. old friends surface when you thought you'd never see them again, and others do just disappear...but even for those friends, it doesn't invalidate the genuine good times and worthwhile moments you had while they still were in your life. plus the older you get, the more often this happens. it's best to see the beauty in it now.
i hope this doesn't sound too pretentious. i care about you, even miles away. even when i can't be with you. God will take us in different directions but i won't stop caring about you. this is true for so many people.
