thanks! maybe i'll come knocking on your door, we've been thinking about taking off across the country since we don't have a whole lot to go home to for the next few weeks :)
thanks! how have you been? there's a band you should check out that i believe is going to be playing in the atlanta area in the next few days, they're from hattiesburg. check out anendtooctober.com and find out when they're playing, go see them, love them, tell them that i sent you to the show. their tour got kind of fucked because of the hurricane, so i'm not sure if all the dates are going to work out or not, but if at all possible, you should go, they're awesome.
I saw Charlotte and Hank at Sam's the other day. I was glad to hear all you guys were doing ok. My house has some damage but nothing too major... a tree knocked the carport off the house and came through a window & another tree knocked through the bathroom ceiling. It could have been a lot worse though. A tree that was only a few feet from my bedroom window fell away from the house instead of towards it. Other houses on my street weren't as lucky.
My roomies and I ran out of food and water Wednesday night so we all headed out of town. I had just enough gas to get to a town where they weren't sold out (& I was very lucky that my car wasn't smashed ... the cars on each side of me were). I am in Memphis now at my mom's house. Hope you guys are all doing well. Glad that your house & everyone in it are ok.
we had to climb out of the neighborhood. we live on a dead end and we were totally blocked in. aaron and i were there alone and we had no idea it was so bad, we don't have television and we're so cut off because of that, all we bought in the way of supplies was beer and pizza. a guy from the dept. of human services came knocking on our door as soon as the winds slowed down to evacuate us from the house. we had to climb pretty much all the way to hardy street. none of our cars had gas, all six of us had to pile into april's car to come to jackson. but we're all alright, and i'm glad you guys are alright. any idea when you're heading back to the 'burg? i hear it's starting to get power again, and water is back on for sure. not that it's the safest place to be right now. i think we're staying here for a couple of weeks at least.
I think I may be heading back in the next couple of days. As of last night, my house still has no power, but the water is indeed on. However, there is that slight problem of having fiberglass, shingles, and miscellaneous outdoorsy stuff in my shower still. Luckily, there is a bathtub in the other bathroom - just no shower head... odd indeed to have a tub yet no shower head. Anyways, the no power thing isn't a huge deal as long as I stock up on food and water and gas and other useful things before heading back towards the 'burg. I figure I need to get back at least a few days before the 12th so I can fully enjoy this school holiday that we have so kindly been granted by mother nature - AKA - I feel the need to have a huge, blow out, can't no hurricane keep me down, fiesta before the semester begins. How bout you?
oh darling, it's so embarrassing, but i was actually missing fucking skank elmo's yesterday. i can't wait to see everyone again, out and having an awesome time. i miss you and your sister and lauren and amanda and everyone so much!

If there's anything a guy like me way over here in California can do for you, let me know.
