I was half paying attention to both the tv and my laptop, when on came this show about cake. Wedding cake, engagement cake, cakecakecakecake. I've had the urge to cook for a little while now, so I ( Read more... )

Wow, I am touched an honoured by your willingness to sacrifice your taste buds for a good cause. Plaques shall be engraved, and huge delicious structures shall be raised in your honour!

I'll totes let you know when this horror is to be struck. ^_^

I absolutely, unequivocally fail at cakes. They get stuck to the pan... EVERY TIME. Except once, when I used parchment paper, and then it just fell apart. I have mostly stopped trying.

I have to make a cake for Mr. Nick's 3rd Birthday this weekend, and I am dreading it. Plz send some excitement my way.

Also, cake wrecks is an amazing and hilarious site.

Eeeek... I read to use parchment.. I have a mostly nonstick 'pan' that is all rubbery and awesome that I hope to use for at least one layer. Never had a problem with those things, and so compact! The smaller pan that I have to procure will probably be the biggest pain.

I am sure that it will be a tasty cake! ^_^ Have a good time, and give Mr. Nick my best birthday wishes!

OMG I know, right? So many of the luls.
