Oi?

So I was playing Halo 3 today on Team Slayer  and I got talking to this American fellow and he asked me what Oi! meant so i told him but anyway it got me thinking, how many words do we use that Americans don't know? and of course vicy versy.

My American friend has a list of words and phrases he wants to hear English people say. It contains things like "I can't be bothered" and "jolly good."

I have not or will i ever say "I can't be bothered", but i have said ma many times "Jolly good".

Don't tell me you've never said "I can't be bothered."

It's not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just that people don't phrase it that way in America.

I don't think I've ever said "jolly good" - I thought that was an American stereotype of the British.
