A formal Banquo White character design sheet for the con book and beyond. I’ve been drawing GC for years now, but I always forget a detail or two. Or even how to ink his hair! (Which has always been an accident to “get right” every time)

I’ve done basic floor maps, basic designs, but once the idea is scribbled down, everything is practiced on the comic pages. It’s much more comfortable to practice in comic layouts, but it makes characters and environments inconsistent page to page.

GC is praised for being well-researched, and Alice does a great job with that. But all this time I haven’t kept up my side of the research and practice, I’m very ashamed of that.

This last arc has really showcased those major flaws, to the point Alice would draw what the backgrounds are supposed to look like because I didn’t have a clue. I didn’t have proper notes or designs to help me out, and I feel terrible about it.

I want to right my wrongs and make a design bible for myself for the rest of GC and when I have to redraw more than half of Act 1 all over again.

I’m doing all the proper design work for the con book before I start. (I’ll post them as I finish!) I’m looking forward to how that will turn out when it’s done, but I know I will feel a lot better about it.

BTW Thank you guys for spreading the word about FKMTverse. ;v; It's selling really well and folks are finally receiving them and saying they love it! :D

Edit again: heykidzcomix and I did a fun GL fancomic, which can be read here: http://heykidzcomix.livejournal.com/387196.html

goodbye chains
