so my co-worker accidentally dropped a piece of a desk on my head this morning. I"ve got a wee cut and a nasty bruise, and it hurts to look up. Oh well. He also broke my watch a lil' bit, I need a new pin for the band. It feels wierd to not be wearing it. I've still got my pin bracelet on my other wrist, and it feels unbalanced. I mean, I ( Read more... )

Ha! Don't forget Murphy's Law of Packing. ;)

so are you also known as DaveRocktastic on Decap? 'cuz I think I met you at some point, if you are that is, at like the decap table at Cornerstone. Thanks, I like my tallbike too. I'm not afeared, 'cuz professional tallbiking has taken away most of that:). what do you ride?

yes i would be the daverocktastic from decrapularious and i guess i could have met you, but i certainly dont remember a Sam in particular. hmmm. I did work the decap table some the last year I went, which was really the only year I hung out with decap kids and that was... 2001. wow. I didnt realize it was that long ago.

I ride brand new one of these and I'm building up a couple years old one of this which I started with just the frame and fork and some assorted parts I had lying around from other bikes (I worked at a bike shop as well so got many a used part there) and the last few parts I need are on their way now. I also have an old steel singlespeed/fixed-gear road bike (flip-flop rear hub w/ fixed gear on one side and a freewheel on the other ( ... )

SCUL is the effing bomb. One of their members moved to Chicago pretty recently, and he's totally cool. Those guys have more bikes than just about anybody, and they're so nerdy about the rides it's unreal. I love it. How do you like the carbon frame? I've not ridden any, but everyone I talk to about carbon that isn't totally in to it warns me about uv rays breaking down the fibers over time, and forks and frames cracking at inopertune moments. They are amazingly light and fast though. Heh. One time I saw a guy on the bike path riding the "Lance Armstrong Special Edition" or whatever, you know, the yellow one. Anyway, I totally smoked him hands down on my TALLBIKE. That was fun. I've got a singlespeed too, which I really like riding, but I've got a bent crankarm (stupid ice) so it's sitting in the garage with no wheels in it, lookin' all sad and lonely. I just use the smallest cog on a regular geared wheel since I don't have money for two sets of wheels, and my tallbike is actually geared. I'd love to get a flip-flop wheel ( ... )
