what a shitty morning. I got a flat today on my way home, and when I pumped up the tube to find the leak, the valve broke. So I got to walk the bike two more miles to get home. Oh yeah, it's not my bike. My bike is at Sarah's, 'cuz I sorta broke it in a fairly easily fixable way that we didn't have tools to fix on Sunday. So I took Sarah's ( Read more... )

Dude i feel ya inside and out!!! redwithherblood February 26 2004, 13:13:19 UTC
man i totally know were youre comin from...thats where me and my mom didnt get things straight except she wasnt thumpin with the bible...she was thumpin with how she wanted me to be an everyday normal part of this shithole society...go where your heart is man...i know you love your mother but you have to go out on your own now..dont look back...im not sayin dont call and stop by everyonce in a while but it is time for her to have to let you go...and you to let her go as well...i think you know what i mean...i hope you do cause i kinda lost myself there. God didnt mean for our lives to be so strict and religious and to have such a guilt trip all the time...he meant for us to enjoy life and to find him through finding ourselves in our experiences...look for God in yourself and then youll be able to find him...your not gonna find him in the bible or in JPUSA or in any other church...God meant for us to learn from our mistakes and live life the way we think is best, thats what makes God so fuckin awesome. his beauty is shown in the fact ( ... )

You have a right to your opinions but don't knock the bible, or JPUSA, or any church. It take balls to be "strict and religious." It's not about guilt. It's about facing up to the facts, repenting, and being forgiven.

Where did you get all these ideas about God? Perhaps the very society you're so much not a fan of?

dude i dont knock the bible at all...the bible is a great tool for learning...as for my resourse its through experienceing God in everything...i am NOT knocking JPUSA seeing as how i was there for 6 months but i am saying that repentance is something you must do for yourself in order to move on in your life and begin to love others the way that you were meant to be...i will sugest that you read a book that i am currently reading though ( ... )

The Holy Spirit can and does talk to individuals. However, we can easily be deceived by our feelings. Faith is not based on feelings.

You'll miss your mom's bible lessons some day. This is absolutely certain.

"she just feels the responsibility to teach me, because she's my parent"

yes. But more importantly, she loves you desperately and would give anything for your well-being. You are so richly blessed to have a mom who loves you so much. Ive seen some of it firsthand. You have a lot of wealth in her love. That doesn't mean you have to live with her, of course, but don't lose perspective....

It's Lent now, a time of purifaction for those who are willing (and some who aren't)....

I'll be in town on monday.

aye, all these things are true. I don't deny them. I know it's all because she loves me, but that doesn't really make it any easier to take. I dunno man.
