So Thursday night I was coming home from Working Bikes and I saw a can laying in the street. As it tends to be my policy to run over cans in the street, I did so. BIG MISTAKE! That's badass.

I always used to do that on my old (first) bmx bike becuase it had 2.5" wide tires with big square tread, and it would make the best motorcycle sound.

However, I don't think any type of narrow wheel is going to have a pleasant interaction with a soda can. If it doesn't make you do a face dive, likely they'll crimp and split open and cut through your tires. that is, unless you put some kool tready cyclocross tires on there.

I totally used to do it when I was a kid too. I also used to do it on this very same bike before it had fenders, and it never scooped one up before. That was also when it was just a singlespeed.

I'm coming in to town late Saturday night. Sunday I will be in the city and I'm not sure what my schedule will look like, but we should communicate before then to try to figure out when we might hang out. I have some flexability yet with monday-wednesday and I really want to see you....
