Bike shop (and small business in general) politics suck. I liked that I worked at a bike shop for a year or so and got to have that experience, but I don't know if I'd ever want to work at another one. Despite the awesome employee discount potential, I have since realized it is much better to be a customer. Especially since it's not that hard to find a different job that pays enough to make up for the discount :)

I what they say is true, and time IS money, then shouldn't free time be free money?

hahahaha, tofurky would be great, but that's not gonna happen this time. Next year WE are hosting Thanksgiving, so that'll probably be around. I wish I had time to hang out while I'm here, but I think family stuff is pretty much the priority while we're here.
